Aliapur launches 2027 tender to recycle 450,000 tons of end-of-life tires in France
Aliapur has officially opened a large-scale call for tenders as it prepares to renew its operational framework for 2027 and beyond—marking a significant development in Europe’s tire recycling and circular economy landscape.
The tender covers the management of approximately 450,000 tonnes of end-of-life tires (ELTs) annually over a four-year period, starting January 1, 2027. This move is expected to support supply chains and partnerships across the tire recycling sector in France and wider Europe.
At its core, the tender reflects the growing importance of structured Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) systems, where large compliance schemes like Aliapur play a central role in organizing collection, processing, and recovery flows at scale.
The scope of the tender is comprehensive and spans the full tire recycling value chain. It includes the collection, sorting, and preparation of reusable tires, alongside processing operations such as shredding and material recovery. In addition, logistics plays a critical role, with requirements covering transport, delivery, and full traceability of material flows across approximately 400 operational lines throughout France and Europe.
From a market perspective, this tender represents a substantial opportunity for recyclers, logistics providers, and technology companies operating in tire recycling, pyrolysis, and material recovery. With increasing regulatory pressure and demand for traceable, high-quality recycled outputs—such as crumb rubber and recovered carbon black (rCB)—contracts of this scale are becoming key drivers of industry consolidation and innovation.
Aliapur’s initiative also signals a continued shift toward industrial-scale circularity, where efficiency, compliance, and transparency are essential. Companies bidding into this framework will need to demonstrate not only operational capacity but also robust environmental performance and data traceability capabilities.
For stakeholders across the tire recycling ecosystem, this tender is more than a procurement exercise—it is a forward-looking benchmark for how Europe intends to manage ELTs at scale in the coming years.
