Australian Fenner Conveyors and Tyrecycle, have announced a new partnership aimed at improving sustainability in bulk materials handling and mining.

The collaboration unites Fenner’s expertise in conveyor belt manufacturing with Tyrecycle’s experience in rubber recycling, both underpinned by strong Australian manufacturing foundations and global reach. Together, the companies plan to develop circular systems that extend the life of rubber products and reduce the environmental impact of mining operations.

According to Tyrecycle CEO Jim Fairweather, the initiative combines “world-class polymer manufacturing with local know-how to deliver real, scalable change.” Fenner Conveyors Managing Director Jen Green added that the partnership envisions “an endless lifecycle of conveyor belt,” transforming end-of-life materials into new, high-value products.

The partnership’s model integrates reverse logistics, recycling, and new commercial frameworks to make circularity practical for mining operators. Its local focus also stands out — with manufacturing and recycling processes based in neighboring facilities in Western Australia, supporting regional jobs and a resilient domestic supply chain.

By aligning their capabilities, Fenner Conveyors and Tyrecycle aim to establish a scalable circular model for the mining industry — one that minimizes waste, cuts emissions, and strengthens Australia’s position in sustainable industrial innovation.
