Jari Mennala has been appointed as the new CEO of Tana Oy, effective May 5th. Jari brings extensive experience in the heavy equipment industry from John Deere. Throughout his career, Jari has successfully led global retail and dealer sales and marketing, developed product and service portfolios and strategies, and driven various business transformation initiatives across multiple regions worldwide. Most recently, Jari served as Director of Worldwide Forestry Sales & Marketing and Managing Director of John Deere Forestry Oy.

Nigeria, like many other countries, faced a growing tyre waste crisis. In 2017 alone, the country generated 113,000 tons of waste tyres, with limited recycling solutions available. Companies like Freee Recycle emerged with innovative approaches to address this challenge, transforming discarded tyres into functional and stylish products.

The LEGO Group today revealed tires made using over one-third recycled materials sourced from old fishing nets, ropes and engine oil. These new tires are already featured in select LEGO® sets, with a full transition planned for later this year. This development marks another step on the journey towards the LEGO Group’s ambition of making its products from more renewable and recycled materials by 2032.
