Recovered Carbon Black Europe is the must-attend event for anyone involved within the carbon black supply chain! The Recovered Carbon Black Europe conference provides a much-needed platform for experts and innovators, who research, develop and commercialise recovered carbon black to stay updated on the latest market developments, challenges and opportunities. As part of EU Green Week 2025, the European Recycling Industries’ Confederation (EuRIC) hosted a webinar titled Driving Circularity: Unlocking the Potential of Tyre Recycling. The event brought together key industry figures and policymakers to address the persistent challenges surrounding the treatment of End-of-Life Tyres (ELTs) in Europe. While most ELTs are collected, nearly half are still incinerated or exported to third countries with less stringent environmental controls.

Arthur Wagner of REGOM shares insights into their data reading systems, which are already active on 12 lines across Europe, and their role in improving tyre logistics and traceability. Although the system still requires visual inspection, it supports enhanced waste accountability for manufacturers and contributes to labour efficiency—offering value beyond Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes. Wagner also reflects on the industry’s transition toward RFID solutions and REGOM’s position within that evolution.
