Danish environmental company Genan Holding A/S has purchased an operator of Portugal’s biggest tire recycling facility, BioSafe, which is a minor of NORS S.A. – a corporation providing transporting and equipment solutions. The deal for the takeover has been already signed by the two companies, and the transaction was fully completed late April.

More than $18,000 will be allocated by the US company Lift-A-Loft Corp. to conduct environmental probe of the old CR3 tire recycling site that had endured a long-lasting tire fire in August 2003. The Delaware-based company will have to provide the funds for the area’s testing after it signed a deal with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management which initially urged Lift-A-Loft Corp to pay a fine of more than $23,000 after the corporation allegedly violated waste control laws at its plant two year ago. The deal also forces the corporation to pay to the state the remaining part of the fine estimated at $4,680.

The Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC) presented its new data on natural rubber (NR) in which it stated that the NR global production dropped 5.8 percent during first two month of 2019. This drop represents over 2 million tons of the valuable material. According to ANRPC, the decline is a result of the tropical storm that recently hit Thailand. Moreover, some other states witnessed unfavorable conditions for rubber trees during early winter season which also resulted in the manufacture drop.
